I have bougth a plot near vizianagarm which comes under ******** registrar office.The seller who is a reputed real estate firm collected certain amount from me for the registration process.When I demanded the break up the firm director specified the amounts including the 2% registrar fees which I objected from paying. He then clarifies that all the buyers ( 320 ) paid the formality amount and it is common for everyone, When I questioned it how it is common he says I can directly talk to the registrar about this. I waited at the office from 10AM to 2PM ... neither the seller nor the registrar turned up till I paid the whole amount including the bribe amount to the Staff there for putting up with my application. When the registrar came along with the Director in director's vehicle from Visakhapatnam. . I understood this is all nexus between the Real estate firms encouraging the bribes to Registrar. The registrar is being treated like a God. I was also a Class I Govt employee in the past and has never taken a bribe not allowed y sub ordinates to take a bribe. This is Really pathetic in India that every body who buys a plot/House will be forced with the percentage/formalities.Just imagine how much the Registrar earns by ill means - per day , per month in this Golden era of real estate in INDIA.
