I wanted to register my Birth after 28 years. The URO was telling lot of stories for the first 3 days, telling i need to bring one certificate or the other. Finally his colleague came out and told the work won't be finished unless I pay bribe. So first I paid Rs 1000 to URO officer. Then for our surprise, immediately next day he cleared the file and sent to his boss. Strangely URO himself told how much I need to pay for his boss (MRI)mandal revenue inspector. Like that the file floated around for 3 days with total amount paid being around Rs2500. We were helpless and because of urgency of Birth certificate we had to pay the bribe. I know all the names of the officers as well. I have seen all the persons coming to that office paying bribe especially to *******
