Registration of my Flat

Reported on March 12, 2011 from Visakhapatnam , Andhra Pradesh  ι Report #26656

I underwent the registration of my newly bought flat in an apartment yesterday, 10.03.2011. The document writer and the builder forced me to pay bribe to the sub-registrar, which i resisted yesterday. Due to constant persistence of both, I had to offer Rs. 2000 yesterday, which the sub-registrar denied to accept as it was lower than his expectations and constant practices, called "formalities". I walked out without second thought, and the Registration Documents were kept with the office for scanning, after the completion of Registration.
The documents were scheduled to be collected late evening on 10.03.2011 (********** of registration), which was reported to be not done by the document controller, with a postponment to early office hours of 11.03.2011. Today when the documents were not handed over by the sub-registrar untill late afternoon, i was forced to pay Rs.5000 as bribe, which left me extremely disappointed and frustrated by the acts of the govt. services, the corrupted officers, corruption encouraging builders and mediating document controllers.
