All the officials at the Registration are hand in glove and the money is collected by one person and is shared among everybody depending on their post. Right from the lady scanning the papers to the sub-registrar, everybody share the bouty. For a small registration of leave and licence which had a stamp duty of Rs.1500/-, I had to pay Rs.2000/- to get token number and complete the process in a timely manner. I feel why the government is paying the officials salary. They will be ready to work for free as the money collected by them is huge and the salary is only peanuts. The importance of salary is only realised when they retire and they get pension throughout their life. This is tax payer money and the government should act tough on it.
