One of the most critical permissions given by BBMP is the road cutting permission to get BESCOM and BWSSB lines to the apartment. Though the official rate is fixed, the BBMP officials hold back the road cutting permission citing minor violations to take advantage when the builder is most stretched and under pressure to complete the building and hand over the flats to owners. My builder had to pay Rs 1 lakh to get road cutting permission.
