This is first time i paid a bribe. I an 22 years old live in near Karungal, Kanyakumari Dist. At that time i applied for a passport. One day i got a call from the police head constable(Y)and said your passport verification form is reached our station and you will come 5.30pm at Karungal police station with 450Rs. I was shocked because he said frankly in the phone call. But iwillpaid only Rs 300 for that purpose. In Tamilnadu Rs 300 bribe is necessary for getting police clearence certificate for passport. In some areas mor than Rs 300 will be collected by the police.
