Myself Natesan a migrant from Cuddalore district who Permanently resides in Pondicherry. I have properties in Kurinjipadi taluk and my ancestors are living over there. I had a short visit in my bike which is purchased and registered in Puducherry state and the taxes, insurance are paid duly and i also had a valid license. Since it was purchased in 2008 i don't possess permanent residence at that time and given Cuddalore address as permanent in the Registration Certificate. On the way to Kurinjipadi through the Cuddalore- Panruti state highway the cops from Cuddalore thirupathiripuliyur police circle stopped me and asked for the proofs and i have shown everything but they harshly spoken and asked to leave the bike there and to collect from the Police station by next day after paying road tax for Tamilnadu Government since the bike was purchased in Puducherry it is not allowed to utilize the Tamilnadu state road without paying road tax in Tamilnadu. I was shocked and explained them that i am a resident of Puducherry and the two-wheeler taxes are centralized. And questioned why you behaving like this?
One of the cop have replied me " How dare are you to question, You can speak like this with any common man but not to Police and added give Rs.300 to the Head Cop and leave from here"
I had no way since i had a land registration got delayed in the village.
