Every time i have returned back to ********** Airport, Mumbai it was always fear of getting bugged by airport authority going to cause.
Yes 1st time when i land back from international flight i was surrounded by ppl to help with trolly and everyone pushing trolly and asking me to allow them to help. I was wondering what they will help me with and why do i need it.
To my amaze they picked my bags and i was thinking they are too kind and when tried to pull trolly they took it from me and asked me to pay them 50 for this help. I said Rs 50 for the help i never asked for and thought i will pay them. Once again my bags where checked and was heading to gate then they asked for money i was about to pay Rs.50 and they picked fight and tried to threaten me to pay $50 or Rs.2000 as i denied to pay. At end i landed paying Rs.500.
On my second trip i just took trolly from stand and took bags and this time was followed by bunch of people... saying "we can help u to pass customs and save u from them". I was annoyed and dint paid any amount to them to which all my bags even hand bag and laptop bags where asked to pass the security point for no reason being harrased.
3rd time i was angry enough so neither i had word nor an argument with these airport authority people and as per noms i had put my checking backs for check and passed the gate and felt proud about it.
Its really scary for 1st timers and will remain an unopened mistery to which people fall prey to these leaches. As i have traveled Freqtly i could guide my friends... and want to spread my story to all of them.
