The name and designation of the officer is not Known. But it comes under Mrs. Bagchi / Mr. Hassan Ali/ Mr. Kartick Banerjee. I was asked Rs. 500 by one of the persons who handle files. Minutes back Mrs. Bagchi had a friendly talk with me. She categorically mentioned to avoid paying bribe if anyone asks for. And very next moment i was asked to pay for the work which they do (by the man who has been handling and recording files and new cases) . I made sure that my voice recorder is on and i happened to capture the conversation in my mobile as a part of document. Very sorry state of affair. Already the state is in deep trouble of attracting business and development and such practices are adding value to the sorry state. Mrs. Bagchi listened to my recording and had cut a sorry face. From Rs. 500 i settled the matter to Rs.100. Her opinion was though this being a lesser amount it shouldn't matter much. To which i replied when a juvenile commits a crime adult in nature IS THAT JUSTIFIED? No matter what amount was involved but the intent and practice is evident. if anyone is listening to me i can produce the recording to validate my point.
