I am now a Citizen of UK, I love and loved India but left it due to the gross corruption. It goes back when I was in the first year of my high school. I went to get a resident certificate from the taluk office, I was very innocent and was not aware how the stupid adult world was. I innocently gave the application and the guy who took it, asked me to come back after 10mins, I was so happy my work was being done so quickly only to know when I went there he was showing me his hand a few times, being very innocent I didn't understand as I was too naive,only after 3mins of standing there I understood and he asked me directly how much money I had, I said Rs 50(which my mom gave me to bring vegetables! He took it, leaving me in a state of shock. I then had so many experiences which firmed my mind to leave the country.
Do you know this fact- Every polie station has to give a ''mamool or hafta'' to the local MLA and MP every month, which used to be Rs 5 lakh-15 lakhs, this is the extent to which corruption is in india. Likely colloboration of the police in the mumbai massacre! shame on most of the government employees. Only the teaching department used to be safe now if one wants to pass MD/MS/Mch etc exams-there is a fixed fee in all medical colleges and no doubt the best doctors india had have all left, leaving a appaling medical system and doctors left there now
