I had decided that I'll not pay any bribe for my Passport.
And almost after 3 months I relaised that my application form was lying at the local police station.
They kept sending me to head-office saying "your application is there".
Finally I sent 1 person in local police station and I was sitting in the head office. And then they had to reveal that the form is still in local office by mistake.
After that I was told I have to report to the IB department, as I belong to minority community.
I was made to visit 3 times. After filling more than 5 proofs including previous passport copy, the incharge of the inquiry kept me waiting entire day. Finally i told him what is missing in my application?
He wanted other people to leave the room, then he held my hand asked me "********** se de do, kaam ho jayega". I pretended to not understand what he wanted, he shamelessly asked me for 1000 rupees bribe.
I was so tired that I wanded to get rid of the hassles, therefore, I had to bribe against my policy. The bargain came down to Rupees 500.
I got my passposrt within 10 days from then.
