I contacted the same person (who did all legal verification of the property for citibank while processing my home loan) to help me in completing the registration formalities. Initially itself he told me about 15000/- to be paid in the registration office for completing the formalities. But at the time of registration he told me that registration wil be done only if I pay 25000/- otherwise it would be delayed by 2 weeks. Since I was about to travel the very next day I was not in a positon to delay it. I think he also knew my emergency and all my bargains went in vain. I paid 25000/- on the spot and the property was registered in my name with in 5 minutes.
