Stopped for a one way entry where there is no sign of that

Reported on January 6, 2011 from Bangalore , Karnataka  ι Report #28933

I just arrived from London after a long trip of 6 months out of home. That day my bike was troubling me for not using it for so long time. I took it to the mechanic to fix and wanted to do some important pending tasks that were due because of my absence. It was a heavy traffic hour. I was coming from the ********** nagar/CMR College road and I need to reach Banaswadi. So I opted to take a right turn just before going up to the fly towards ********** ********** Nagar. I know for damn sure that there was no "NO RIGHT TURN" signal before I left for London nor I have seen one that day. But immediately after taking the right turn a traffic police inspector almost jumped in front of my bike and started using offensive language and made me park my bike. He asked for my license and after having it in hand he simply asked me for 100 rupees. He was not even telling that I took a turn that is prohibited. He was asking me 100 rupees because he just caught me...that's it...plain & simple. After facing his bad nature I was not even dared to ask why or what or nothing...because I know that if I say a word other than flashing the bribe he asked he will make me go rounds to all the police stations in Bangalore. That too I am not a local language speaker. So I felt that I was already cornered.
Before 2008 I lived in South America for almost 8 years and these 2+ years of living in Bangalore taught me the greatest lesson ever. Just pay the bribe..don't ask anything. But I have in my mind to film all these bad cops and put it on web or send it to some TV channel so that both the public and the authorities take note of these guys.
