I don't even know how much i paid in Bribe to get my Apartment Registered. RTO seems to be the winner here, but i think Registration office is not far behind and in-fact in terms of Rupee amount, Registration office will score higher marks.

So when you buy a Apartment your builder will give ask you an amount for flat registration which includes the bribes. Now this practice is so deeply embedded that know one asks questions. At least by giving money you get your house. In the registration office you get treated like a subject in front of the king, 'the registrar officer'. When you move in to the Apartment you find the Apartment has flouted all norms. So how did it get approved? Then you find there is no water supply, but you paid 60k- 70 K for water, off-course to bribe the water department. But still no water.The Lift and Generator are not regularized. So how did the apartment get approval. Bribes work really hard here. No worries, the government is launching 'Akarama- Sakrama' to get illegal converted to legal. And guess what, you have to again pay for it. But why shouldn't the builder you created the illegal structure is penalized and what about the Babu who approved it. Well they are the chicken who lay golden eggs. Suffer my dear friends.
