This is a story of one of my swiss friend who was a visiting student at my university in Chennai. In winter holidays, he came to Agra (my hometown) to visit TajMahal. He bought the ticket which Indians are supposed to buy (20 Rs. I guess) assuming that he is entitled to that ticket as he was a student at an Indian University with a valid student ID. While in queue, he was pulled over by a cop who forced him to buy the foreigner's ticket (1000 Rs. or so). My friend was deeply disgusted at this behavior of Indian policeman as in Swiss (also in all the western countries I have been to) they consider anyone having a valid Swiss university ID as belonging to their country. This was a huge embarrassment for me as well.
