Traffic police asked 250Rs. for the reason to went car through one way

It was happened in calicut, MG road.
Arround morning 7.30 there was not much vehicle in the road and my car was wayanad reg. and we were not aware that there was one way in mittai theruvu near public library and manachira square there is no sign board that mentioned this road is one way or not.
we just pass to the jucntion and the police officer came and ask our driver to give the licence then he told us that this road is oneway and we need to pay a fine of 1500RS and he marked something in his pockect diary.
finaly my father went to him and told him that we are not familer this road and there is no sign board.there was lot of request from my dad. finally the officer told that give bribe in the way just give a shake hand and put the money inside.
the surprise that there was lot of vehicle pass through the junction when we were there...
