It took place near ashok pillar. The signal is for pedestrian crossing. Since there were no pedestrians I took the right turn violating the red signal. There were 3 traffic police officers who were readily waiting to catch their prey. I was caught and asked to pay fine of rs300. I had all my papers with me. It is my first offence and I was supposed to pay only rs100. I said I would pay rs100. The officer took my rs100 and did not give me any receipt. When I asked for receipt he was like however you paid rs100 what are you going to do with the receipt and asked me to leave.
