I recently had to shift my office because of which the MTNL Landline Number had to be transferred to the New Office location in the same area. Normally it takes about 15days to get the complete thing transferred and would have ended up losing some vital time. To refrain from going through the lengthy procedures i was asked to Pay Rs.500 by the Line man of the area. I paid the same but still even after 10 days the connection has not been made by these corrupt people. On the other hand if you insist on not paying the amount they intentionally create new problems with the phone and its is mostly dead (no call and no internet).
There is no solution because you cannot go to the exchange to complain about them as they are all of the same group.
