I was on my way to ********** a person at a company in Chennai located on OMR road. My Van is registered to a different state as I live in that state.
My driver was turning right onto OMR Road, was stopped by Traffic Police as soon as he saw other state licensed vehicle. He has asked for all the documentation, which I had provided. Since all the documents are in order, he started saying that the driver made a traffic violation and he needs to pay fine. He couldn't specify what the exact nature of violation. He threatened to take us to the court otherwise pay fine on-the spot. He said fine would be around Rs.1800 other go to court.
Since I didn't have time, I paid bribe of Rs.500, which I deeply regret.
