TTE took a bribe
Nobody tells you that on Duronto Express, you can't board without a confirmed ticket. If that be the case, they should check tickets before passengers board and others should be refunded without any deductions. Someone came all the way to the station, why deduct?
I got on to Duronto on 7jan from calcutta(howrah) to bangalore(yashwantpur). I had waiting list ticket. GRP said I'll have to get off on the next halt, or talk to the TTE. No Waitlisted passengers are alllowed in Duronto. TTE says pay 1500 Rupees. I had to get down at Bhubaneswar, withdraw from ATM, rush back and it was all very dangerous.
Now the TTE tells me that 1200 is the fare difference between Sleeper class and Sleeper. They had Sleeper class but they have to answer to lots of political pressure and bullshit like that. So I had to take AC3. Pay 1200 and 'whatever else you feels like giving...to me' I gave 1400.
why isn't it transparent and still at TTE's discretion how much the charge is and how many berths are actually free?
