Using agents to beat jargon

Reported on January 30, 2011 from Hyderabad , Telangana  ι Report #28695

(To be honest, I am not sure about the amount of money paid as bribe - used an agent)

1. I needed driving licenses for wife and I; honestly tried to get the right forms to do it myself. The forms to be filled are so full of jargon and the rules so unclear that an agent was the better option for getting information as well as for drop-off (documents ,money) and pick-up (license)

2. Vehicle registrations - new as well as transfer from another owner. The agent gets quick attention of the police inspector, no chance of you to be made an 'example' for that day, you don't have to stand in lines.

Without an agent, you are one of the masses - nobody speaks with you, you have no information, you have no idea if you work will get done that day or no, etc.
