Vehicle Docs not carrying while driving?

I do have the Driving License at that time and just that i am not carrying the Vehicle ownership documents in original, but i have photocopy of RCand Insurance and Pollution certificate.
The officer said that these can be forged in photocopying so to show the new ones or he will seize the vehicle and then i will have to take it from a court.
I called up my friend to go to my home around 15 Kms away and take the docs and come back, but he is busy and asked me not to let the vehicle be taken away, it will be back but te police department will change the new tyres or Engine or wil definately do some problem to vehicle.
He said me to ask him that " ********** ********** Pani se Maan Jao"
I said this and then the Police Official took me to his incharge standing a bit away he asked 500 rs.
I paid and then i go.
