I visted the police station to ask the concerned officer about my passport application. He checked if he had received the form. After confirming that the form was with him, he informed me that it will take atleast 15 days to send the documents to the CID office. Upon requesting him he immediately started the paper work and assumed me that it will be done within 2 days. I asked him if someone would come over to my residenceo check the address. He promptly assured me that he will offer the veriffication officer some money and have him sign immediately. Needless to state, I had to pay him Rs. 500/-. My passport got delayed due to some other reason for which I missed the passport. I met a whole lot of people out there whose verification was pending from months only because they refused to pay bride.
