I am a accountant in a contractor firm. As per Works contract act contractee deduct Works contract tax and deposited in relevent department (i.e. Ambala Cantt. VAT Department) . At the time of assessment ( as we registered in Gurgaon VAT Department) deptt. asked us for the verifiation of the WCT Deposited in Amabla Cantt. other we unable to get credit of WCT deducted from our account. First I've reached the department in Ambala they asked me for the bribe Rs. 200/- for each month. So i've returned due to lack of money. Next Time settlement on the Rs. 50/- p.m. for the two years.
