Wallet stolen - paid bribe for filing complaint

My wallet was stolen in PMT bus. I went to Hadapsar police station (Pune) for filing complaint, because my wallet had various Identity cards. The officer wrote the complaint and his senior asked me to come to room and demanded 300 rs. I paid 100 rs and left from there. Don't these people have any sympathy towards general public. My cash, my ID cards, my debit/credit cards were already gone and on top of that, these police asks for bribe.
