Every month our neighborhood pays rs 80000/month to water tankers as we dont get water through govt water supply. The govt water distribution office is a stone throw away. We see the water tankers collect water from there and give to us at anywhere between Rs.600 to rs. 1000 per tanker depending on demand. This goes partly into the pocket of the water supply officials. There have been excellent rains in Bangalore; there is no issue of water distribution or shortage. Yet, we dont get water and are forced to pay the Tanker mafia who are hand in glove with the water supply department. I paid and am paying a bribe for water...
