A couple of day's back, I was driving in my car on double road and was talking over mobile with someone. A police man waved at me. I slowed down and halted. I realized that he caught me, because talking over mobile while driving is an offense. He looked to be nice behaving man. he said, "mobilealli mathadtha drive madta idira". I had a smiling face. he said, "400 danda aguthe, kattathira". I was still smiling, but I was in a dilemma. I was not sure, if 400 Rs is fine, is it bribe, is he asking for more. Few seconds passed. He said, "hogali 200 rupaee katti". I took out 200Rs and gave to him. I waited for a few more seconds. He said, "ayithu hogi". I realized I bribed the police. I just left. To be fair to the policeman, he was well behaving, nice talking, gave me an option to pay the fine. I could have been firm on paying the fine. I was not.
