Our driver had taken a road which had apparently no entry sign board. This happened in*******1999 in Kolkata, near Alipore at about 4 PM in the afternoon. The homeguard on duty came and demanded money. We had to negotiate. He said that the Sergent was present and he would need at least Rs 100. So we paid. It was wrong on our part as well to pay. We could have asked for a receipt. It was my inexperience that resulted in the payment of bribe
