I boarded a passenger train to Raichur from Gulbarga,hoping to reach Raichur in time to catch the Garib Rath express at 11.45PM. The passenger train was delayed and arrived late by 2hrs, causing anxiety and we decided to get down in Yadgiri to board the express. The ticket examiner on the express contended that we were travelling without ticket even though we had a ticket from the passenger train and a valid ticket from Raichur. I paid him 500 for letting us travel till Raichur and then went to our seats in Raichur.
All the stations are under the South Central Division of Solapur.
The ticket examiner was adamant and threatened to charge the full fare from Secunderabad considering it as ticketless travel.
