I don't remember the exact **********. My driver was driving with me sitting in the backseat, down the Western Express Highway near the airport, with really low traffic. Traffic cops waved us down. The driver parked and went out to check what happened. I was sitting in the car. He came back and said that the cops accused him of lane cutting. When he pointed out that he was on the extreme right of the road throughout, till waved down, he was told that it is Diwali and he should pay some money. We paid a hundred rupees to avoid being challaned. Not sure if this qualifies as a bribe or police extortion, but that's one of my many stories.
