It appears that officials from FRRO have gone for verification. It further transpires that these officials are demanding bribe for giving a favorable verification report to FRRO. If the applicant is armed with requisite documents, she should approach FRRO and request for early verification and grant of marriage visa as per rules without any harassment or delay in the matter. Since she is in Delhi, it would be easy for her to escalate the matter to Ministry of External Affairs if she doesn’t get justice at the hands of FRRO.
