Did not bribe
I applied for re-issue of passport in Mumbai. Nobody asked for a bribe in the entire process. However there was a delay in processing police verification. As I had time in my favor I did not try to hasten the process by offering to bribe anyone. I feel my passport was renewed, though with some delay, due to the time bound process. If everything is in order, the system will give you a passport at the end of stipulated time.
