First ever government office where experience has been delightful. I got passport for me and my family via completely transparent and hassle free system. Good things about it -
1) Appointment booking and Payment can be made online - chances of bribes reduced
2) On call customer care guides you with requirement - chances of confusions reduced, no brokers needed.
3) Best of all - Took minimum time for passport application submission and document verification process at passport office. NOBODY ASKED FOR BRIBE. Despite of lot of work load, all officials behaved pleasantly. By the time you come out of passport office, you get a SMS saying 'passport has been sent for printing'.
4) Special fast track queues for senior citizens and small children.
Within 4-5 days, you shall receive passport.
