Custom's guy with mud on his face!
Last time I came to India I bought some gifts to my relatives. Two iPhone 4s for my sister and brother-in law, a PS3 for my nephew, a SLR for my brother-in-law, a iPad for dad and a watch for mom. I also got a few compact cameras and blu-********** players as gifts for extended family. The customs guy stopped me and said I can't get so much. He took me to the red channel and wanted me to pay the custom tax. I argued with him that I am getting gifts for my family and he wouldn't relent. I said I want my phone call and called up my uncle who knew a high ranking officer at the airport. In ten minutes I was on my way out escorted by that officer who even offered to buy me coffee.
