Hi,
There are other articles on the web with similar content, each explaining the process of khata registration/transfer for properties that are within the BBMP limits. However, I fail to find any article or blog written specifically explaining the process to register/transfer khata for properties that are under gram panchayat.
I have a property in Doddaballapur for which i want to get the khata registered. Although, it is clearly written in most of these articles that the khata registration fee should be 2% of the stamp duty paid during registration, the panchayat officer as well as the representative from the builder are trying to persuade us that the khata registration fees is 2% of the total property value. When referenced to these articles, they simply say that these are for the BBMP and not for the gram panchayat properties. My queries are:

-Can there be such a big difference in the registration fees between BBMP and gram panchayat?
--Is there a reference somewhere that can confirm the registration fees in Gram panchayat (within Bangalore)?

Please help.
