I hate corruption. Either way. But, I am not sure this point has been addressed at length. The main reason why there is rampant corruption in government departments is because people who work there are not PAID enough. Salaries have to be competent just as in the industry and I am sure that will bring in more educated people into the system and people with integrity. Part of the problem is that bureaucrats see POLITICIANS make millions and assume they can too. Why not the government increase the salaries of these people in government services? I live in the US and I have seen how smoothly government services work here. And even for me who is a foreigner living in the States, the services I receive are on par with what citizens of the US receive. Why can't that be provided to PEOPLE of INDIA by the indian government? Kudos on the site by the way. Very impressed.

Dear Mr. Raghu, I wholeheartedly support and comment you on all your actions for bringing down corruption in India. Just a simple question, however not sure whether it's practical. When asked for bribe in public area, Can the person immediately shout out a standard statement that can be circulated through this forum, say "Bribe"/"He wants Bribe", etc. I hope this will have an effect like "Name and Shame" and list out in public places all those who have been punished.
