Hope this will not be another suprise for those who have already tried to register their baby names in the Birth and Death Registration Office. Every individual who comes to this office pays bribe, I dont know whether it's Indian mentality to get the job done by paying them bribe, but the employee shamelessly asks for bribe to get the job done quickly.
By mistake, I had registered a wrong spelling of my child's name in the registration office,when I came to know it, I personally visited the ********** Market office and enquired about the procedure to change the name. The person over there told me that it will cost 3000 and he needs to get a court order to get this job done, I was bargaining with him to get it done for 1000, but still he did not oblige. Later, I directly visited BBMP office in Utility Building in MG Road. I met an officer in the office, i think it is in 11th floor, he was very patient enough in helping me to know the procedure and I could change my child's name by only spending 50 rupees as their fees. I still wonder whether the above officer who asked me 3000 to finish this small job, ever know the value of earning rupees 3000 hardened money.
