Paid a bribe of Rs.1000/- to get a B Khatha

The clerk whom *I approached to get a B khatha for my property at Udaynagar, Mahadevapura had demanded Rs.3000/- for a B Khatha, but i frankly told i do not have so much money but i can spare him 1000/-. He immedately told ok lets see, i will put up the file to my superiors. I agreed upon and went to him after one week and he told me come after a week since it is yet to be signed but it is prepared(manual). After a week i went to him he gave me the B Khatha and i gave him Rs.1200/-(Rs.1000/- as bribe and Rs.200/- receipt from BBMP authorities). I thanked him and asked him should i get one more Khata for my in laws prorperty, he told me to get an encumbrance certificate as the property is registered before 1995. I agreed to him and promised to come back.This BBMP office is situated in the corporation building, which is newly shifted to Udaynagar, Bazar Street, Bangalore 560016
