Hi Mr. Raghu, I stay in Africa, I am from Andhra Pradesh. I am planning to purchase a Flat in a multistory building in Visakhapatnam. The builder says, the flat a 3 bed room apartment, costs Rs 20 Lakhs; but he will show on the document only 14 Lakhs and the remaining Rs 4 Lakhs I have to pay in black as the government fixed the price of the flat at 14 Lakhs only and if I only show the full cost others in the building will feel disturbed. I do not want to do any illegal transaction. I want to show in my document the full amount what I will pay to the builder. And I do not want to evade any taxes due to the Government. Please advise me what I have to do in this issue without attracting wrath of my new would be neighbors.
