Sir, I am retired Andhra Pradesh revenue employee. I retired on 31 st August, 2008. My pension was fixed and I have been getting pension through my Bank(SBI main branch Eluru) account.As per pay commission recommendations my pension is increased and some commutation and arrears(nearly Rs400000/-)came to sub-treasury from where my pension is remitting to my bank account. Now I am in USA at my daughter and I have to be here for some more time. Can I get my commutation and arrears cheque by giving a letter of authorization to my brother or my husband's brother to take from the sub-treasury and deposit in my bank account ? Or they sub-treasury people have to deposit to my account to which they are remitting my pension every month? But the concerned sub-treasury clerk is demanding very huge amount(25000)to remit it to my bank account as I am not there to take in person. Please advise me what I have to do to get my amount? I am not ready to give bribe to him. Thank you.

Hello, I am a software developer and would like to contribute in this good cause of yours. Some suggestions: 1. If you can link the bribery cases to a govt body which deals with bribery like Lokayukta and in turn have them tracked on their progress by the common man. 2. Allow people to provide exact contact details of the person who takes bribe along with photo/video as evidence. Lokayukta or some anti corruption agency can lay a trap based on this.. 3. Name and shame. List all the corrupt people and let people vote the most corrupt so they are treated well.. There are risks but we can make use of technology to make this world a better place. Do let me know if you are interested, I can spare some time..Always ready for a social cause..

Raghu, I wish to congratulate you for this creative initiative. I would like to establish a similar service in my country. Usually, victims of bribes (the ones that have to pay) are not willing to report abuses if they have to disclose their identity in fear of active or passive retaliation in the future. How do you handle this? Also, do you keep statistics to measure if a particular office or person is repetitively reported as a briber? This could be useful for building a case againts the corrupt official or person.
